Sensei Tadashi Hashimoto 9th dan will lead a two part Open Seminar:

• Karate (12noon-2pm) - Contrast the vision and application of advanced Shuri-te and Naha-te kata

• Kobudo (3pm-5pm) - Explore bo kata and bunkai

Tadashi Hashimoto Sensei (75) has dedicated a lifetime to full-time karate and kobudo research (learning and teaching).  He has produced many elite karateka and is recognised internationally to be amongst the most senior technical authorities.  Sensei’s karate has strong Shitoryu roots with his first teacher Murakami Osho who received his Godan (5th dan) from Kenwa Mabuni Sensei, the founder of the Shitoryu system. Sensei’s many accolades include:

• 9th dan Hayashi-ha Shitoryu Kai awarded by Teruo Hayashi (the original Soke)

• Head of all Hayashi-ha instructors

• Chief Technical Adviser for Hayashi-ha Shitoryu Kai

• Master of Kenshinryu Kobudo (weapons include bo, sai, tonfa, kama, eku (oar), nunchaku)

• Extensive international teaching experience

• Teacher and mentor of numerous Japanese champions from all styles.
